Why I Love Being a Doula

All of my drawings as a little girl were of me being a "baby nurse", so I love to say I was born to be a doula!  The dream became a reality when I was able to be my sister's support person at the birth of my nephew in 2005.  Seeing the miracle outside of my own birth experiences, and seeing how my role impacted a baby's entry into the world in a beautiful, empowering way is amazing and indescribable!


My first birth experience having my son felt traumatic, greatly because I did not have anyone helping or guiding me, but the births of my two daughters were peaceful and positive ~ both situations inspire me in my practice!


I leave each birth incredibly honored to have been invited to attend such a miraculous, intimate, and transforming event for families. It is a moment you will remember forever, and will be highly impacted by amazing birth support and a satisfying experience!


I'm beyond blessed to be doing what I was created to do!

 

In addition to her passion for expecting families in Lincoln, Nebraska, Mandi is especially proud to be Mom to Kaedyn, Madi and Korynne.


In that rare spare moment outside of enjoying her life with busy kids and all things birth-related, she also enjoys learning about essential oils and holistic family health, spending time with family & friends, dancing & music, kayaking, and gardening.

  • Certified Reiki I Practitioner for energy therapy.

  • Personal experience and extensive coaching experience with HYPNOBIRTHING methods.

  • I focus a great deal of my continued education in the areas of holistic and energy work, lactation support, managing complications, evidence-based research, and calming techniques.
